Health inequity isn’t abstract. It’s measurable and urgent.

  • Black women are three times more likely to die from breast cancer or pregnancy-related causes than White women. (CDC, 2024; Susan G. Komen Foundation)

  • LGBTQ+ youth face higher rates of suicidal thoughts and deaths than heterosexual, cisgender peers. (AHRQ, 2023)

  • Indigenous populations die at higher rates from chronic liver disease, diabetes, suicide, and respiratory illnesses. (Indian Health Services, 2019)

  • Clinical trials still exclude diversity – only 15% of prostate cancer trials report all five U.S. racial categories. (JAMA Oncology, 2023)

  • Poverty, across race and gender, remains one of the strongest predictors of poor health outcomes. (American Academy of Physicians)

So how can healthcare reach and serve everyone?

  • At Level 5, we believe equity starts with understanding lived experience. "Inclusion" and "intention" aren't slogans – they're our operating principles.

  • Make exploring diverse voices the norm.

  • Engage the right stakeholders, every time.

  • Reach beyond standard consumer panels.

  • Invest time and resources to meet people where they are.

  • Communicate authentically through accessible channels.
